What do all of these fruits mean anyway??
There have been so many times in my life that I have seen something hanging on a rack at my favorite stores, but when I try it on, it is hideous. It was either the wrong color for my complexion or it didn't hit me in the right places. With all of my previous failures, I have found that I have to shop for my body type. I am going to look like a bombshell in something that shows off my best attributes instead of something that simply looks like a bombshell on the shelf. With that being said, SHOP FOR YOUR SHAPE. But what if I don't know my body type, Kieran?? Don't worry! I am about to share some insight on the different fruits we like to associate with our body.

1. Pear Shape
This is what I like to call the Kim Kardashian body type. She's got a tiny top with a lot of junk in the trunk. With this body type, you want to wear things that show off the stomach, torso or shoulders, either by wearing clothes that are fitted in those areas or wearing clothes that expose those areas. This draws attention away from your hips and draws people to your upper body. Here is an example.
DO: Wear A-Line skirts.
Wear contrast colors. Dark on bottom, light on top.
Wear crew, square and boat necklines.
Wear strapless dresses to draw attention to shoulders.
Wear jackets that hit right above the waist.
Wear pointy-toed shoes. It makes your legs look longer.
DON'T: Wear clothes that draw attention to your hips.

2. Triangle Shape
This is the Audrina Patridge shape. This is also called the inverted wedge shape. This is for the girls with broad shoulders and chests, small waists and hips. With this shape, you want to show off your legs. Your goal is to draw the attention to your lower body while you soften your upper body. Some examples would be long sleeve dresses or one shoulder dresses that are fitted to your body.
DO: Wear bright colors on bottom.
Wear full skirts and wide-leg pants.
Wear high-waisted pants/shorts.
Wear shirts that draw attention to the waist line.
DON'T: Wear spaghetti straps or boat necklines.

3. Rectangle Shape
This is what I call the Natalie Portman shape. This is for the women that want to make curves where there aren't any. This body type is normally the same all over. The shoulders, chest, waist and hips are very similar in size. This shape can be seen as the athletic type. The areas that you want to show off are your arms and legs. If I were a rectangle, I would wear strapless dresses that show my shoulders and my legs.
DO: Wear shirts that cause curves. (i.e. sweetheart shapes and scoop
necklines.)
Wear detailed shirts.( i.e. collars, ruffles)
Wear long jackets.
Wear a good bra. You need to hike those babies up. You need all the
curve you can get.
Wear colors.
Wear layers.
DON'T: Wear too much.
4. Apple Shape
This is the Eva Longoria shape. This shape is for the women that carry their weight above their narrow hips. However, you normally have killer legs to flaunt all you want. your mission is to elongate the torso! Ready, GO! If I were dressing an apple, I would go for peplum tops or dresses that I can accessorize with belts.
DO: Wear v-necks. They are your friend.
Wear good bras. You need support.
Wear belts at the smallest part of your waist.
Wear empire tops and dresses.
Wear skirts.
DON'T: Wear clothes that cover your legs.
5. Hourglass Shape
This is the Beyonce shape. This is for the women that have tiny waists with equal shoulders and hips. This woman is all about the curves. Therefore, you need to show them off!
DO: Wear a good bra.
Wear fitted dresses.
Wear belts to enhance your waist.
Wear wrap dresses.
Wear high-waisted skirts, pants or shorts.
Wear lightweight fabric.
Wear skinny jeans.
DON'T: HIDE THE CURVES!
Hope this helped you find out your shape. Remember: SHOP YOUR SHAPE!!
