What's In K's Bag: OU//TX Edition

It's about that time in Norman, Okla. where every college study packs their bags to take I-35 south for the Red River Rivalry. Not only is school cancelled tomorrow, in preparation for such an intense weekend, but I have also heard that in the past, if we won the game, Pres. DBo would cancel school on Monday as well. If only that were true... I know some college students that could really use a "recovery" day or two after this weekend if you know what I mean. This weekend tends to be the one where people think to themselves or even better, say out loud, "WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!" See, by them saying that out loud, you now have all permission to make fun of that persons stupid decisions. I promise you, you will see some "WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!" moments during your weekend. Let's just hope that they have good friends.

Despite my hype for the game and this being my last OU/TX as a college student, I am even more excited to see the ridiculous outfits people come up with. The two colors that you have to work with are crimson and cream. Now for someone like me, that is like telling me I have can only use two colors to decorate my whole house... Um No. Sorry. So for the benefit of those reading this, I have included my outfits for this weekend.

You need at least three outfits. One for Friday night, one for the game and one for Saturday night (if you make it that far.) Your Friday outfit is going to be what I like to call snappy casual. If you are meeting up with the 7,000 people at the West End, you are going to want something that you can walk in and won't smother (it is normally really humid). I am wearing my favorite black patent leather Gianni Bini stilettos with black skinnies, a white with black pinstripe peplum and everything red. Red earrings, red lips, red necklace. You have to wear a color that identifies you with a school and if you're smart, it will be red. (What can you match with burnt orange and not look like a scarecrow or a pumpkin, lets be real.)

Outfit 1:

Don't mind my wood floor or the beautiful photography... Haha. Joke.

Now your outfit number two is going to be for the game. I debated in my head for about 30 minutes, if I wanted to wear white pants or not. If I don't wear white pants, then I will wear red along with every other college girl that is scared to wear white after Labor Day. I'm not trying to match people here. Come on. So I settle for a dress, but an adorable dress from my good friend Terren. I am wearing a crimson dress with cream stripes and leopard shoes with a cream necklace. You want something that will let you breathe because you are going to be hot & hawt. Plus you want to look cute for the ESPN crowd screens. I was privileged to be on TV last year. It just so happens that they caught me while I was trying to see someone on the sidelines, so I had the most intense/focused, yet confused face on of all time. It was definitely a "woof" moment.

Outfit 2:

For outfit number three, I plan to get that in Dallas. I am convinced that DBo cancelled school on Friday for all the women that want to go shopping a.k.a me. How nice of him! Since I am going to be winging it on what I find in Dallas, I like to pack a couple extra back-up shirts. You never know if you're going to have a malfunction and let me tell you, malfunctions are the worst in front of 100,000 people. Always bring back-ups.

Back Ups:

After you have picked out a couple outfits, grab some clutches to go with it and you will be done. I am taking my clear clutch for outfit 1 and my black studded clutch for outfit 2.

Put it all together and you are done! TEXAS HERE I COME!

(Yes that is a gold glitter bag. Travel in style ladies!)
